Well-Being Wednesdays - Main Library
Join us at the Main Library on Wednesday, June 1st for the next installment of our Well-Being Wednesdays" series. In this seminar you will learn about the new advances in treating high cholesterol. Blood pressure screenings will also be provided.
Too much cholesterol in the blood can lead to cardiovascular disease. According to the American Heart Association, heart disease is the number one cause of death in the United States. Over 2,100 Americans die of cardiovascular disease each day, an average of one death every 40 seconds. The good news is, you can lower your cholesterol and reduce your risk of heart disease and stroke.
Bus transportation will be provided from both the Kennedy Branch and the Nutrition center. Please contact the library to put your name on the list. Admission is free and refreshments will be provided.
This event is brought to you by Hackensack UMC Palisades Hospital and will feature guest speaker, "Dr. Jesus Alfonso, MD".
