This database offers information such as: population, climate, the monetary system, holidays and festivals, popular food, and even trivia.

Gale Biography in Context

Gale Biography in Context is a database that allows users to learn about various known figures: from presidents to celebrities. Besides offering biographical information, Gale Biography in Context also offers up to date news articles relating to the specific person searched.

Proquest Historical Newspapers

Proquest Historical Newspapers is a database that allows users to read and research articles that were featured in The New York Times from 1851 to 2009.


Ebsco Host offers several different databases that offer an array of information - from peer reviewed journals to news articles - on various topics. From Business databases to Home Improvement, EbscoHost can provide users with all the information they are looking for.

Mango Languages

Mango is a database that allows users to learn different languages from the comfort of their own home. Mango offers a number of language lessons from Arabic to Vietnamese. This database also offers a basic and complete English course.

Young Adult Library Services Association: YALSA

YALSA is a branch of the American Library Association that specifically focuses on young adults and all their reading needs. YALSA offers information on Teen Read Week, best book lists, and a list of the most recent award winning books.


TeenInk is a magazine/website that is focuses on writings and artwork by teen for teens. This is a place for creative teens to read fiction and nonfiction written by their peers, a place to connect with one another, and a place to find new books.
